Your child's safety is of the utmost importance to us. We are asking all parents/guardians, please complete the survey that is in the link below.  This survey is designed to give the school valuable safety information pertaining to how your child feels at school and if there are issues that we need to address.  Not every question will need to be answered, you don’t have to click yes or no to every single question.  Several of the questions are not applicable to Simpson Elementary (for example, we do not have lockers and you would simply leave these questions blank).  Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. 



The observation of Martin Luther King Day will be January 20, 2020.  Schools will NOT be in session.

Parent Teacher Conference

Parent teacher conferences will be held Thursday February 13 from 3:30-6:30 pm and Friday February 14 from 8:00-11:00 am. Letters will be sent home sometime in late January or early February. Feel free to contact your child’s teacher at any time. 

President’s Day

President’s Day will be observed on February 17, 2020. School will NOT be in session that day. 

All Pro Parents: 

Please join us at 2:15 on Tuesday, January 28th for our second All Pro Parents event of the school year. Mr. Tim Schlosser, Superintendent of Simpson County Schools will be the guest speaker. Permission slips will be sent home soon, so please reserve your spot for this great event. Please call the office if you have any questions. 

Inclement Weather Reminder

In case of inclement weather, tune into WBKO and News Channel 5 for closing information.  Also, one call from the superintendent will call your phone. Parents, we sent home a form to fill out for alternate arrangements for your child due to bad weather. If you have not turned that in please do so as soon as possible. If we don’t have alternate arrangements planned, we will have to have your child do what they normally do every day.  

Book Fair Coming Soon!!!

The book fair will be at school February 10-14. Please come by and support your local school and book fair. The hours will be Monday through Thursday from 7:30am - 2:30pm. Also, your child will be allowed to shop during their library times. The book fair will not be open after school Monday - Wednesday. On Thursday, February 14th and 15th, the book fair will be open from 3:30-6:30pm during the Parent Teacher Conferences. Thanks in advance for your support.

New Coordinator in Family Resource

SES is welcoming Mrs. Lori Honshell to the Family Resource Center. Mrs. Honshell worked as the assistant FRYSC coordinator at Warren Elementary for the past 9 years. She is a graduate of WKU and super excited to be at SES. Feel free to stop by meet Lori at your convenience.
