With powerful vocals, high-energy choreography, a massive student cast, stunning lighting, and one of the most ambitious sets ever built on our stage, Newsies is more than a school musical, it is a full live theatre experience for the entire family.
Set in New York during the Newsboys’ Strike of 1899, Newsies tells an inspiring story of courage, determination, and young people discovering their voice, making it especially meaningful for students of all ages.
If you have never attended an FSHS production, this is a wonderful one to experience.

Simpson Co. Schools will be closed on Thursday March 12th. The FS Lady Cats won the 4th Region Championship and are advancing to the KHSAA state basketball tournament. They will be playing at Rupp Arena in Lexington at 10:00am CST (11:00am EST) vs Bullitt East High School on Thursday. Reminder that Friday March 13th is a Learning Community Day for Simpson Co. Schools. Students are not in attendance on that day; it is for staff only. Our district is not allowed to use non-traditional instruction (NTI) for Thursday. The Kentucky Department of Education only allows the use of NTI for health or safety reasons. Good Luck Lady Cats!!! -Tim Schlosser
